Thursday Photos - Red Couch and Elvin

Today our trip to China is officially over! We have had our pictures made on the "Red Couch", a tradition for all of the adoptive families who stay at the White Swan Hotel. Mia was not really thrilled about that tradition! You can see she had a get away plan from the start!

We have loved getting to know the other families and Elvin! He has truly been a gift from God to us and will always be part of our Mia memories. He truly pours his heart into his job! We asked him to come back to the US with us, but I think he's afraid of having to look for cameras for the rest of his life! So he is staying in China.

Thank-you blog-readers / friends!! Your comments and emails have encouraged us on this exciting, exhausting, hard, and wonderful trip! You have blessed us daily with all of your words of wisdom and empathy. Just to know you are praying for us will get us through the next 28 hours of travel!

So we are clicking our heels as you are reading this! There's no place like home! There's no place like home!

That is one really stylin' doo on that baby. It will be all the rage in Alexander!!! One rainy day in the hotel did all of you guys good!! You all look rested and perky for the last leg of your journey!! Just think how good Jenkins Valley will look tomorrow and how good your own bed will sleep(even with 5 in it and some of them wearing shoes!!)!! Prayers for safe and smooth travel! john traci katie and andrew

Thank the Lord for Elvin. He has been a lifesaver. I am sure he will never view America the same after being around Kevin for two weeks. I just laughed out loud to see that pig-tailed blue kimono- clad cutie. please squeeze her for me!

We can't wait for y'all to come home! The kids are so excited to meet Mia (and to have Emma and Savannah back!). We have all been addicted to your blog, and are so glad that you were able to share your journey with all of us. We will be praying for a safe, uneventful journey back. God bless you all!

We can't wait to see all of you guys!! I know that you guys are beside yourselves to get on that plane!! We pray for safe travel for you guys and hope you guys can get some rest on the flights. I bet Savannah and Emma are really pumped to meet their new baby sister. She looks adorable by the way, and very happy to have such a great mommy and daddy. Love you guys!!
